Suessifying the Landscape

Spring is approaching, which means that it's time to start planning your landscape... if you have one, and you're into that kind of thing. I've already ordered some perrenials from the good old Michigan Bulb Company and thought I'd share with you, Innernets.

The following two photos are known as "Pampas Grass," and what would be more suitable for a Pompous Ass like myself than that, I ask you.

Plus, they are the closest thing I could find to a truffula tree from Dr. Suess's The Lorax.

I'm going to have to order one of these things, too. They speak for the trees, and hopefully ornamental grasses, too. That way a bunch of Once-lers won't come and steal all my Pampas Grass.

Another little shrub I've ordered, pictured below, is called Purple Love Grass. What's love got to do with it? I have no idea, but I thought it looked cool.

This next one is called a Money Plant. I was expecting five dollar bills but instead it has these little purple blooms. Ah well.

It has been so cold this winter it is hard to imagine it will ever be warm enough for these plants to grow.

Nice looking grass though.

I've got a friend who has a green thumb and a penchant for plants who has promised to come help me landscape this Spring. I can't wait. I love your choices!

I answered your question on my blog, but thought I would answer here, too - in case you don't check back on comments. Sissy is 3 (turned 3 on 2/2). We bought her a full size bed. We figured if she had friends spend the night, that would work out and that's also the size we bought for her brother when he transitioned (also age 3). If you have any other questions, you can email me at eviltwinswife@gmail.com

My wife says even Ugly Dolls need love. Good for Violet.
Lois has around 80 kaleidoscopes and some of them cost a couple of hundred dollars. Pretty.
BTW~ I think Suess is having a birthday this week. Tomorrow?

Oh what a relief to see a glimpse of spring! It cracked me up that all I had to read was the truffula trees and my brain all of a sudden snapped to and started reciting:And what do you do with that leftover goo? I'll tell you you dirty old Onceler man you!

Do you think you'll attract somee brown barbaloots. They arte so damn coots. Playing about in their barbaloot suits. You could ever get a swomee swan or two.

The second one makes me want some cotton candy (which I am not all that fond of, but if it were a vegetable...)
