Blogsomnia

It's sort of like insomnia, which I am also experiencing, but it just means the inability to blog. Maybe it should be called Blogging Dysfunction Disorder? Blogophobia? I don't know, but I bet you that Pfizer can make an overpriced pharmaceutical to cure it!

I haven't been doing much I would consider blog-worthy. Now that it is warm out (by the way- yay for that) Violet wants to go outside as soon as she wakes up. I try to avoid the enormous bumblebees that are already trying to nest in my hair (and I don't even sport a beehive), simultaneously attempting to keep Violet away from the road which she thinks looks like a fun place to play. Egad man, fax me a Xanax somebody. Anybody?

At least I have been getting some reading done during the Dark-Night-No-Sleeping Times. I just realized that the last two books I read are Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown, and Candy by Mian Mian. Damn, even the books I read are fattening and bad for you. Hmm.

Here's a conversation Violet and I had the other day you might enjoy. You know, a last attempt to make it worth clicking over here so you don't get mad at me. (Can you believe I'd stoop so low as to use Violet's cute shenanigans to offset my utterly boring post? Well, believe it!)

Violet: I want icicle. [This is what she calls popsicles.]
Me: Sorry, we don't have any more. You ate them all, remember?
Violet, 2 seconds later: I want icicle. Now.
Me: We still don't have any. Sorry.
Violet: Want icicle, PLEASE? [She said that last word with so much hope, as though she'd solved the riddle that would get her a tasty icicle. It was sad.]
Me: Sorry.
Violet, after considering for a moment: Go to Wal-Mart. Icicles.

I have to admire her perseverance, although I am kind of freaked out that my child knows the word "Wal-Mart." Even when we go there we just say "the store."

Sssshhhhh. She hears EVERYTHING.

Maybe someday she will be the CEO of Walmart.

LOL! My daughter loves the Wal-Mart too. I guess they figure out where all the treats come from early on. :-)

I think this blogsomnia happens to most people from time to time.

I get total blogsomnia when I start thinking I need a hiatus. Sometimes just going near the computer stresses me out because I'm scared it will suck me in for two hours. Also my house has turned into a PIT ever since BK started.

My three year old can't read, yet knows which sign and logo goes with which store (yes Walmart)

Haven't you been watching Super Nanny? You just leave the doors unlocked and let the little ones roam free, then launch a search when you want them. You might have Blogitis. It's contagious. If you caught it from me, sorry.

I think Blicky Kitty is right. I think they call these children big store savants. And you may as well buckle up, your going for a ride.

I don't know anything about that Walking Dead series over there on the right, but I really got into the 30 days of Night books.

Man I think it's the TV.
Everyone keeps talking about how their kids are picking up on everything and it throws them of.
I think the tv is secretly evil.

*mary*, *mary* - I fear we have the same bee phobia. As for blogsomnia, I've got the insomnia part, but nothing to post...nah, I'm plagued with too many ideas!
