No, that isn't the sun you see there. It is the moon at sundown, already huge and yellow and hanging low in the sky. I wish I knew how to take cool pictures of the moon, or had the proper camera to do so. I was surprised that these came out as clear as they did, considering I just held the camera in my hand. Usually I move so much the picture just looks like a bright blur. Yay for image stabilization technology! The pictures below were taken within the five minutes following the first one. I went out right at sundown in time to catch it. It clouded over in the last picture.

You did great, I have a fancy-schmantzy camera and mine are no better. Very hard to get moon shots I've decided
I think you and I were taking pictures the same day! I saw a really cool moon, but I failed to get one decent shot. If it makes you feel any better, my camera cost over $700 when we bought it and your pics came out better than mine.
