He was a great guy, always willing to help. He's the person we called when we had any computer issues. He set up the wi-fi I am using right now. Just a few weeks ago he drove Jeremy to pick up the new couch and helped carry it in. Like I said, he was always willing to help a friend. We loved taking Violet out to dinner with him and his family, even though Violet would inevitably become The Screaming Kid in every restaurant.
Our friend was so excited because he had recently bought an iPad. I'm glad he didn't wait for second generation model to come out like I told him to. But, that is all incidental. What is tearing my heart out right now is thinking about his wife, as she will have to explain to their two children where there daddy is, and why he isn't coming home.
Don't let the mundane tasks of living obscure what is truly important. Tell your family that you love them today. Every day.
