Weird Teenager Sighting of the Day

Okay. I just went outside and witnessed three or four teenagers sitting cross-legged in the street. It's 9:00 p.m. which means it's dark. They are under the streetlight. I ignored them but wondered what the hell they were doing.

A lady walking her dog came up on them and asked "What in the world are y'all doing?" One of the kids said, "Mourning the death of a dear friend." After a ten second pause he added, "Mr. Twinkles."

Apparently it was a dog or a frog. I couldn't hear. Besides, I was too busy thinking how true that old aphorism is about how youth is wasted on the young.

Oh- Jeremy saw them out there earlier and told me that they were singing 'Amazing Grace'. Hope they don't get run over! Well, at least they aren't sniffing glue. (That I know of.)

Okay, where the hell do you guys live? Haight ashbury in the 60's? That is too funny. And crazy. Kind of sounds like my old digs in Idaho.

Mourning seems reasonable.
