When Violet and I were at the park today she noticed two bigger girls, about eight or nine years old, on the swings. She ran up to them and said hi. One of the girls looked at Violet and said, "She's the cutiest." (Not a typo.)
The same girl then reads Violet's shirt which has "I Get My Cute From My Mommy" on it. (No, I'm not conceited, my sister bought it for her. If I bought one it would say, "My Cuteness Is a Total Genetic Fluke. Yay For Genetic Flukes!") So, the little girl reads the shirt and then she looks at me for a second, pauses and then says, "Ummm, are you her mom?"
Hahahaha! I love it.
